newborn swindon baby wiltshire

Q. Where will the shoot take place?

A. The shoot can either take place in my home or yours. I am happy to travel within Swindon or further afield for a fee.

Q. What's the best age to photograph baby?

A. Between 6 and 10 days old if the perfect time, after that they become more alert and harder to settle into a deep sleep.  I can do baby shoots after this age, but baby will be less likely to sleep through it and won't be so tiny!

Q. When should I schedule my newborn session?

A. It is never to early to book your session. As baby will make an appearance when he or she is good and ready we can make a provisional booking which can be moved to when baby arrives.

Q. How long will the shoot take?

A. I like the session to feel relaxed and unrushed so I schedule 2-3 hours to allow time for feeding and comforting baby but it can take as little as 40 minutes.  It all depends on baby!

Q. What should I do to prepare baby for the shoot?

A. It is best if baby has just been fed, they are then most likley to want to sleep.

Q. How much space do you need to photograph baby in my home?

A. The shoot can actually be done in a reasonable small amount of space. I would need access to a sofa and a small amount of space around it. Any average livingroom if fine. I also bring lighting so it does not matter if it is a darker room.

Q. What should I do to prepare the house for the shoot?

A. Make it warm! When you make the room really warm the baby will be more comfortable and sleepy. It should be too warm for adults as baby will not be wearing much.

Q. Do you offer online proofing?

A. Yes, there is no pressure here. The images will be edited and ready to view within 14 days. You can review with pictures captured from your session in the comfort of your own home and when you have made your decision you can order through our secure online ordering system.
