This weekend I had the great pleasure of documenting Alissia's Christening and in the same cermony Laurie and Simon's wedding.
I had talked to Simon and Laurie about photographing their wedding before and but while planning Alissia's christening it became clear that the guest list was just about the same as the would have for their wedding so why not do both at the same time! So they went about planning both events in 6 weeks.
Simon and Laurie are both really laid back and that resulted in a lovely relaxed and from the amount of details that went into the day you would have thought they had spent 6 months planning it not 6 weeks.
The day started of with bridal preparation at Laurie's grandparents beautiful house. I photographed preparation, the flowers and everyone when they were ready in the manicured garden.
After this I left Laurie to meet Simon at Lambourn church.
Simon was not there when I arrived but I was greeted by the ushers and after shooting some details of the church and flowers Simon arrived with his best man. After I got a shot of the rings I left them both to their final preparation and got some relaxed photos from afar.
The vicar was pretty strict about photography during the service so I had to stop shooting as soon as the service started.
The reception was lovely and I was made to feel super welcome by everyone.
Here is a sneak preview of the photos:
